When you make a decision to be a part of a pipe band you are becoming something much bigger than yourself. You have to understand that dedicating time and effort towards making your organization great means putting the band first. It’s not about being a solo player, it’s about doing whatever you can to make the band reach it‘s fullest potential. Check attitudes at the door, focus on the important things, work hard and above all else, have fun while you’re doing it.
