Passion is the great motivator. It spreads throughout the team and can be seen in intensity, determination and enthusiasm. Look for members who are excited to be there and energized by the mission and team. Their eyes will tell you all you need to know. Their actions do the talking. They will arrive at rehearsals and events early. They will put in the needed practice at home. They will always be in the right frame of mind, both mentally and physically prepared.
Personal drive, passion, desire, initiative, ability to be proactive, self motivated, and having a hunger to succeed are some of the factors that allow excellence. All are athlete owned behaviors… If you chose not to live those qualities, you really don’t want to excel.
