Every year on April 6th National Tartan Day is celebrated around the globe. This day commemorates the Scottish Declaration of Independence, from which the American Declaration of Independence was modelled on. This day is also used in the US to recognize achievements of Americans of Scottish descent.
Our band proudly wears the Modern Gordon Tartan, regimental tartan of the famous Gordon Highlanders. The tartan itself is based on the Black Watch military tartan with an additional yellow stripe.
